What an awesome day! I spent 2+ hours at #GoApe Treetop Adventure Park in Rockville with one of my Nu’U Vitality Center staff and some friends. It was a great way to get full body workout and have fun. And when I say full body workout I’m not kidding. I think every muscle in my body hurt for 3 days straight. Don’t let the park fool you. It looks like an over-sized playground, but it isn’t. You need upper body strength, balance, and nerves of steel to navigate this park. They’re very good about instilling the need to always stay clipped in and you have to stay on your toes to ensure this happens. At 50+ feet in the air, a mistake could be deadly. But once you get into the groove the danger is part of the thrill.
It was a poignant moment for me to go there. Anyone who knows me knows I’m afraid of heights. They make my heart race and palms sweat. Climbing the trees was nerve-wracking, especially the first climb — I wasn’t sure I was going to make it — but it was worth it for the zip lining down.

Part of my job as Chief Motivator is to encourage people (kinda is implied in the title, huh?). While we were there we filmed this video. It may not be perfect, but it was the first one we did so I’m proud of it!

So what’s your idea of fun workouts to #getoutside and #getactive, but aren’t traditional? Let me know in the comments. Since it’s been so hot, don’t forget to #stayhydrated.
And always #maketimetoplay! Now…what should I do next??
