Some days you can’t, but you try.
Some days you try, but you can’t.
You don’t have to make excuses for yourself whether it’s while training for a triathlon or for life in general. However, when you are in either of the above situations, ask yourself what happened and why. If you don’t know, then ask more questions. If you’re happy with the answer, then fine. If you’re not happy with the answer, then make some changes.
Ultimately you are responsible for your actions. You have to look at the big picture and ask am I moving forward?
So on the days I can’t, I still try. On the days I try, I do my best. I have goals that are set so I can achieve them, but high enough so I have to push myself. Once I meet these goals, I will set my sights on new ones Why? Because I always want to always be moving forward.
